DeGaussian Annex at UF

In addition to the main paleomagnetic laboratory, we house additional equipment in Williamson 157C.  We have christened this lab (without ANY donations from outside the University), The DeGaussian Annex.

Note: Our main laboratory has just acquired an AGM/VSM from Princeton Instruments

Equipment Shown Below can be found in the Annex

Sample Prep Area (Amy Cutting India cores)                                            KLY-3S Susceptibility Bridge with cryostat (CS-L) and heater (CS-3)

ASC Thermal Demagnetizer (48 sample capacity)                                    ASC Impulse magnetizer (2 coils-right) and Home-made AF demagnetizer (left)

Sample storage and kappa bridge                                                                             Molspin (Laura measuring) and shield for AF-demagnetizer

The lab also houses 3 Stihl gasoline powered drills, orienting devices, gps units, bruntons and paleomagnetic sampling equipment for field work.
